As someone that has been back about 9 months now, with under 400 JP I can tell you that it would not encourage me to grind out CP. It would make me want to quit the game.

Honestly the biggest mistake they ever made was allowing scholar to skillchain, that was so incredibly silly.

I did, and I watched the videos interviews. What I came away from them with was that the developers want the game to be more group orientated but the producer thinks otherwise and he rules the house.
