While I'm glad to see less job exclusion, I must say I dislike alliance EXP overall because it is horribly uncoordinated and chaotic, and lends itself far too well to gimps and leechers. Sure,...
I have met and attempted to solo Absolute Virtue. To my surprise, I died in two hits. Also done the same thing to Cerberus, Vrtra, and Jormungand.
Listening to the shouts in Port Jeuno, or wandering aimlessly around Al'Taieu or some other zone with nice scenery.
All I ask is please, please, please, make the elemental trial staves look different from each other.
Don't we have enough teleport NPCs? I think we really hit overkill on this around the time WotG came out.
...You even have to ask this? Of course they're terrible. The sole exception is the SMN mythic staff, which is actually pretty decent.
You realize that apart from the puzzle element, you just described (capped) CoP?
There are solo fights capped at level 20 and then the prime fights, which are fought with a group and have no cap.
20 cap solo avatar fights: Rank 2-3.
Uncapped: Rank 6 (4 in Norg).
For Ifrit and Ramuh you need Windurst fame.
For Titan you need Bastok fame.
For Shiva and Garuda you need San d'Oria...
What I'd consider a challenge: Something that takes skill, planning, and coordination. If someone messes up, there should be dire consequences. Also, taking a long time to do is not challenging.
Because BLM, SMN, and SCH are the jobs that need weapon skills the least. All three are very capable of DDing with spells and bloodpacts instead.
I happen to be taking SMN up to 90 and have a full set of elemental obis from my other two jobs. So, I ask two questions. One, do avatars get day/weather bonuses? And two, do the elemental obis work...
I'm torn on this one. On the one hand, it is annoying and I do like the normal music in the WotG areas. On the other, it is the most prominent indicator of whether or not a battle is going on in that...
No amount of updates to the system will ever stop the playerbase from having a favorite job and excluding others. Also, consider how few people with non-melee jobs even have their Nyzul weaponskills....
I take it you haven't been on in about a year or so? The level 40 cap on Phomiuna Aqueducts was removed back in March 2010.
Wear an eyepatch. Makes you look like a Bond villain.
I like the ideas. Also, don't forget about Brenner too, which has most of the same problems.
I fully support this idea. It is a pain having to sit in Port Jeuno either scanning the shouts or starting your own to get anything that's not EXP done. Also, since when is "not WoW" a justification...
Well, someone hasn't done their SMN AF quests.
Now just wait until someone makes it an honest suggestion. Considering the kinds of suggestions put on this forum, it wouldn't be that out of place.
Obvious exploit is obvious. How anyone can pull the "it's not a bug, it's a feature" card on something as broken as permanent Invincible is mind-boggling.
Put them in CoP areas first. They have better scenery.
Look, just being able to outfit your automaton like a BLM doesn't make you one.
There are Ballista titles, actually. It's just that you can only set your title to them if you have the appropriate chevron.
