Im EU but I play on a NA account. My mule is EU and pretty sure I had to go through 3D crap.

Salvage gear may be outdated somewhat now but with the adjustments there, myself got my Morrigan's Robe in less than a week.

Hopefully they will making them upgradble in the future to Lv99 gear...

Agree with the title but I think some shells would probably monopolise (sp) the spawns if there was just a couple hours respawns, just like with Guk there the JP usually are the ones claiming him, on...
