Posting to show support for FFXI PvP and Ballista. I had made this thread a long while ago. The thread mainly had to do with trying to make PvP more popularized for the general player base.

This is true. And it doesn't have to be an exact replica of another MMO mechanic, word for word, etc.
The point is, if someone comes up with a good system, there are ways to implement the idea...

"Tank" should not be a synonym with "DD". If this were to happen, PLD would be crazily overpowered. And if the "Tank jobs" got amazing DD capability AND survivability, you would see the other DD...

Other DD jobs and "Non-Tank" Jobs should not be able to Tank Safely. That's the reason "Tanks" exist, otherwise they're just useless classes.
And that's why WoW is a more successful MMO. It forces you to go on an adventure, and gives you incentives for doing so. SE should take a lesson.

I've been playing RDM Melee, and I can tell you that it's definitely one thing above all else: fun.
RDM seriously needs Fencer and a higher shield skill. Also more...
Enblizzard, etc, procs off double attack and dual-wield.
Enblizzard II, etc, does not. (It procs only once per attack round)

I think people are missing the point of this thread. Ballista is about having fun and that Video of Selt is amazing, I'm still watching it... I would so love to do something like that!
