If survivability was an issue people would be bringing paladins, so defensive skill buff is nothing more than superfluous.

I have no problem with raising skillcaps, but offensive > defensive, easily, especially something like parry/shield.
Where are people getting this? If petrifact shows up at the top, you didn't get a rare drop anyway, it's no different than emperor fish or kitron.
Byakko's aren't worth using, they're less damage than Emp+2 legs. Relic+2 legs are better than both on average.
There isn't much use for a dDEX set on war at the moment.
for +crit gear it depends on pieces, like one of the rancor pieces, claymore grip and emp+2 head and technically Moonshade Earring with TP...
Fixed post to reflect pieces you were asking about and better options.
Body: Grim(+1) > Twilight > Osode if you don't need accuracy, use Twilight if you do
Legs: Avant+1/War Cuisses +2 > Ravager+2/Dux > Byakko's, Ogier's if you need accuracy
Feet: Calligae+2
...
No, just you really have shown almost no clue in what you're talking about in terms of game mechanics, bring up anecdotal and flawed evidence, then when asked to back up your statements start whining...
... Just what the heck are you talking about
It's like you don't know how an average works
This makes absolutely no sense.
Please, do continue to prove you don't know what you're talking about
This is incredibly hilarious, mostly because of how flat out wrong it is. Any decent CDC set will have more accuracy...
Would still pick Rajas, where are you having mp trouble? My whm/thf doesn't have mp trouble
And yea if it doesn't beat out even a jelly ring, Sattva is going to remain useless. That would just...
Inventory is an issue for many jobs, I rarely have more space than that unless I'm on war and don't need to proc multiple weaponskills
SE needs to look into it or doing what they did with HQ...
If you compared to 95% of blus on server it would, since most of the blus on a server are wearing absolute junk, or fulltiming 5/5 emp
Almost certain it was checked by using voidwatch Treasure Hunter values, sash is the same as THvalue +1
Concession accepted, enjoy the rest of your day
Nefarious actually lags abit to the point it's practically a Fortitude Torque. Although like most things in XI the difference between them is once again, not a giant margin (if I'm that worried about...
Nah, the moment you proved you didn't understand basic game mechanics, fSTR, or how AM works is where you lost the argument
@above Rancor's +DT is hardly an issue on the very mobs you would...
Tathlum/Smart Grenade/Astrolabe are pretty much identical if you don't need accuracy with Astro/Oneiros slightly ahead if you do
Rancor is best neck short of Portus, screw that damn Diabolos...
As much as I dislike Saevel he has brought more to the argument than your anecdotal evidence you "think" is correct.
I'm not sure what math you're doing, but since when did 1+1 not equal 2? Are you talking binary, because that's not how most people math here.
I could not face palm any harder at this entire post.
I did, you failed reading comprehension, game mechanics, and how damage works in FFXI
what the lol... I can't even respond to you seriously anymore, you clearly don't know wtf you're talking about...
Welp, now I have to admit I'm agreeing with Saevel
Everyone else can go home now
Come back when you can back up your statements with more than feelings, concession accepted
No, Ephemeron is still not a good offhand, get over it
You would have to not have AM up at all for Excal to win by a large amount. Almace is still in the top 3 swords for Rdm.
Please post these...
