blood of heroes quest impossible (wings of the goddess)

hello,

i returned after years to play all the expansion stories and maybe more, because i read that pretty much anything could be done solo now.

but there are huge problems with quests/bcnms where one needs to escort npcs.
the first two were aht urghan mission 15 and 42.

i was lucky on mission 15 but it took me like 6 tries for mission 42.
hate was somewhat handleable on mission 42.

but on wings of the goddess mission "fire in the hole" bastokan road i got stuck.
so i decided to take the sandorian but now im stuck again at "blood of heroes" quest.
im pretty sure there will be an impissible escort quest the windurstian road as well.

so i ask here to fix those escort quests to make them soloable by all classes, and not only by luck based nuke class fights.

- the first problem in those fights is, that there is no hate control, the escorted npcs stick the enemies to glue like them no matter what is done. to fix this simply remove the aggro from those npcs.

- maybe add a special latent keyitem to make the fight easier that can easily be aquired.

- or let trust npcs heal the escorted npc


for me and im sure for others its an issue. dont tell me to find someone to help out. noone will do, or only for stupid amounts of gil. dont suggest to lvl and try different classes. its bad game design to complete few quests only with specific classes.

I'm going to sum it up simply, FFXI might not be a game you should play. You seem to be completely uninterested in doing the things that make XI what it is.

Someone, will, absolutely help you, if you actually asked for it. Even on asura.

heres an update:

i leveled up bst to 99 and used the spicy broth jug pet to nuke down most of the enemies. i needed to get familiar with the the bst pet commands and bugs with the pet. (it will get stuck at certain terrain)
on the fifth try i summoned only valeneral (tank trust) and the pet when i ran it quite a bit, to prevent the pet from beeing stuck.

then just run in with the pet, most mobs will aggro the pet instead of excenmille.
used this macro:

/pet "Fight" <t>
/wait 1
/bstpet 2 <me>

notice that you nedd to target a mob, stand close to it with your pet next to you. best with other mobs around.
then quickly kill the mages and finally go for gvoggdeg (or how he is called)

that way the fight was pretty doable. still i wish for changes on escort missions.

people dont give up, and dont listen to snobby elitists, telling you to leave the game. :)
