"The Walls of your mind": weapon received, quest not flagged

Steps:

1. After completing the quest Ghosts of the Past, Oggbi handed me the Knuckles of Trials for the quest The Walls Of Your Mind.

2. After accumulating the requisite number of weapon skill points, I returned to the quest giver and traded him the knuckles, but nothing happened.

3. Talking to him prompted him to give me the same dialogue then when he first gave me the Knuckles of Trials. He tried to give me another pair, and I got the message "return after sorting your inventory".

4. I checked my quest log and could not find the quest in it. Did the same with the Key Item inventory, and I do not have the Manual either.

5. I am now unable to complete this quest, as well as any of the Monk artifact quests.

6. I did not try to discard to Knuckles to try to initiate the quest again, I don't really want to gather weaponskill points again...
